Hello!
I’m Catie, an illustrator and the creator of Nomad Cards. Much of my work is informed by my childhood growing up in my father’s independent bookshop, Browser Books, a neighborhood landmark in San Francisco.
In 2017, I developed a series of author portraits for Browser Books and sold them alongside greeting cards and prints. They were a hit! Customers began commissioning me to paint their favorite author or literary figure.
In 2022, I started to explore new themes of literature, personal growth, healing, and the natural world. I named my small business Nomad Cards to reflect my lifelong love of world cultures and the spiritual journey. Nomad is also my last name (Damon) spelled backwards. My cards are eclectic and use a variety of mediums, including acrylic, watercolor, and digital illustration. They are printed locally and in the UK using recycled and sustainable materials.
My paintings have been turned into postcards, prints, and stickers for Browser Books and Green Apple Books in San Francisco. I love collaborating with independent businesses and warmly welcome inquiries and commissions.
